Fun Audition!

My studio is very small, but I can set up for an audition with a proper flash lighting.
Of course my camera is capable to shoot videos as well!
Here is the shots from the day!

Yes, it's just an audition but why not presenting the models in a beautiful setting!
Because they are beautiful and we should deliver the quality of the models in the best way.

But sorry for all girls waiting for long in a dark cold garage...
BIG THANK YOU for coming in the rain.
And hope you get a role!

These all models are from Ican Models

Like kids

Introducing staff members is necessary for a popular shop in town.
It's a natural thing that people want to buy things from a shop where nice friendly people work.

Here is the members of Rockies - Kids Clothing shop in Queenstown.
The shop owner, Shirley asked me to capture her shop members to show their characters in a fun scene, like kids always love to do.

Very talented staff posed for individual shot with their choice of goods. It was a fun time!
The ring flash lighting was the best choice for the theme. It enhances the 'fun' feeling.

Add to that, I do care about shooting time also, finishing all the shots in one hour should have helped for the busy shop.

My photo shooting theory for businesses is "Less impact to the business and give a big impact to the audience."

Shooting + Fishing + Filming

Shimano Fishing Gear - Stella

The flagship model of Shimano fishing reel - Stella debut - It’s a big advertising campaign.

I was committed to shoot the main images in the catalog. The client was from Japan, though the catalog will be published in the worldwide.
At the same time, the promotional footage was shot by a crew from Japan.

So I started to coordinate the job. Did researching and applied for the permits of locations and booked an accommodation and vehicles for the staff.

Luckily we got a nice look model, Sam from Wanaka who is a real fishing guide and born and bred in Glenorchy where the main filming location for this job.

Well…I know what a fishing like, it’s a patient, but filming the fishing is a challenge of patient and stamina. Sam must have a kind of a pressure, because without hit scenes we couldn’t shoot any footage. So he walked around so fast in the river, all of us were following him with camera equipment and wearing heavy wet wader in hot summer. It must helped a lot for my exercise. moved quickly and walked so long.

In that condition, I had to shoot some illustrative photos for the catalog, I had a pressure as an advertising photographer too, it excited me!

Eventually Sam caught some good size trout and all of us had a happy end. Thanks Sam!

The lunch at the river bank wasn’t a smoked trout because we need to keep trout alive for the job in the future!

Woman in Red Dress

From the job I was committed for SONY, it appears on here.

That was my dream job and I was so happy to take this opportunity.

I crossed the ditch and spent a very nice weather week in Sydney, the film crew hopped around from gorgeous houses to a huge studio and beautiful beaches, working with a super high tech SONY movie camera and very nice OZ crews.

The camera I used was a prototype Alpha but the quality was great, loved the monitor on the back. It was like a super mini Bravia!
